Welcome to the Arlington Kiwanis website!
As a member club of Kiwanis International, founded in 1915, our organization of volunteers “changes our world, one community and one child at a time.” Our club was chartered in 1956, and has been a fixture in the Arlington-Jacksonville area serving the needs of children through food drives for our local food bank, Christmas Adopt-a-Family, Saturday stories and crafts at University Park Branch Library, dictionary donations to 3rd graders at several schools, a Bring Up Grades project at Arlington Elementary School, an Aktion Club at North Florida School of Special Education, a Circle K Club (CKI) at University of North Florida, donations of hygiene supplies to Sulzbacher Center and donations of school supplies to Childrens Home Society. We are a “hands on” service club, and our members contribute an average of 40 service hours per person every year, the highest in our Kiwanis division.
Arlington Kiwanis is one of nine clubs on the First Coast, comprising Division 5 of the Florida District of Kiwanis International. We serve primarily the 32211 and 32277 zip code areas of Jacksonville; however, as members of one of the largest global service organizations, Kiwanis International, we contribute to projects that have an impact on children around the world.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, currently on the campus of Jacksonville University. We are a nondenominational club for both men and women of all backgrounds who bring a passion for service. We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference, and that might be you! Please contact us for more information on how you can get involved in serving the children of the Arlington area.
Please look around our website to get a sense of what we do, and how you can become a part of it. We look forward to hearing from you!

The Objects of Kiwanis
The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the succeeding decades, they have remained unchanged.
- To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
- To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
- To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
- To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
- To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
- To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
